Book Summary:

Dolly Jones’ life has changed drastically in just a few months. It’s hard to believe that she was suffering from a series of self-imposed punishments not too long ago. Now she’s found the love of her life, is getting ready for a wedding, oh, and adjusting to life in a different world.

Of course, it isn’t all rainbows and wishes. Vel’s half-brothers aren’t going to stand aside and watch everything they’ve worked so hard for fall away from their fingers. This means that both Dolly and Vel are in grave danger. Hopefully, only a few days’ worth of danger…but one never knows.

My Review:

Pardon me; I have to go outside and squeal for a minute.

Alright, let’s dive into this review. Dreams Really Do was EVERYTHING I had been hoping for, and realistically a whole lot more. Once again, Brindi Quinn has nailed it. This novel was everything: fantastical elements, drama, steamy, you name it! Best of all, the character development was on point. Then again, this is Brindi Quinn we’re talking about, so that shouldn’t come as any surprise.

I will be honest with you here: love triangles are not my favorite trope. That said, the whole Arrik subplot is spectacular. It’s handled so well here, especially as it pushes his character development further (more than readers could have hoped for!). It proved an essential element of the overall story; thus, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

This book really surprised me. There are a lot of elements, details, and subplots that float back up to the surface. I love that all the build-up from the last two books paid off. I also just really enjoyed this book. And I am delighted that it isn’t the final novel in the series. I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to this genie family, no matter how complex it may be.
