Once more, we delve into the Luidaeg’s past in Sun Sets Weeping. Set long before October (Toby) ever walked this earth, this is the story of the Luidaeg, one of her descendants, and how time corrupts all.

The Luidaeg is a woman who must keep her word. Her words are true. She would expect the same of those around her. So when Merlin promised to come to her when she called – she expected him to heed the call.

“This was the world we had made, my siblings and I, with our blind insistence that we follow our parents, infallible and flawless as we tried to pretend they were.”

Yes! It’s another Luidaeg story. I know it may be a little warped to be so excited to read her stories, as they are so heartbreaking. But they are also wonderfully written, and I just can’t get enough of them.

So far, all of her older stories that I have read have really woven her narrative into that of ancient tales. One in particular, actually. This is an Arthurian bend like I’ve not seen, and it makes the world (and its stories) all the more fascinating for it.
