Book Summary:
Mercy Gray’s life was forever changed two years ago. They say she saved lives, but it really doesn’t feel that way in her mind. All she can focus on are the signs she didn’t see; the things she did wrong.
Between the guilt and the medical debt, Mercy is primed to accept a “too good to be true” offer from Damien Dare. He wants to run a survivalist reality show, with Mercy acting as one of the contestants. And you know what they say about things being too perfect.
My Review:
There are a few thriller authors whom I will read their books without even checking the description; Kate Alice Marshall is one of them. So obviously, I had to pick up We Won’t All Survive from my local library!
Truthfully, We Won’t All Survive had me hooked from the beginning. Mercy’s story immediately screams for further investigation, and therefore, she’s an easy character to root for. The fact that she found herself in not one, but two, impossible survival situations made it all hit that much harder.
There are a bunch of characters in We Won’t All Survive, and I’m not going to pretend that I had an easy time keeping track of them all. There were two guys (I think) in particular that I really struggled to keep separate in my mind.
There are a bunch of twists in this book, keeping you guessing at who is really behind it all and why. It doesn’t hurt that each character really had their own reason for being there, adding to the web of an already complex situation.
The final twist of We Won’t All Survive worked, but it arguably isn’t my favorite, hence why I’m not giving this one a higher rating. It’s still a solid read through and through, so be sure to check it out!
