I'll admit that I don't subscribe to as many book boxes as I would like. However, the two that I am subscribed to (OwlCrate and BOTM) have always treated me well. And that's enough for me.I've never seen a silicone popcorn holder before this month! It's cute, though I'm not sure I'm going to end up using it for popcorn. Instead, it'll probably be relegated towards holding bookish odds and ends in my library.I may have a slight hoard of wax seals - and I really need some good excuses to use them. However, I'm never going to complain when a new seal is added to my collection! Hence why I was so excited to find this cutie in April's OwlCrate box.Over the years I've worked hard to create a comfortable desk with a style I can enjoy. Bookish mousepads are already a nice addition!I am SO glad that I waited for OwlCrate's copy of Hotel Magnifique! This book has gotten so many amazing covers, but I legit think this one is my favorite. Plus, the hardcover glows in the dark! That's a first (for me).Look at all the lovely items that came with April's OwlCrate box. I have always been a sucker for bookish household items, and this box had not one but TWO items. Plus some coffee and other cute items. I'm thrilled!Goodreads

Review: A Good Day for Chardonnay by Darynda Jones
A Good Day for Chardonnay is the second novel in Darynda Jones’ Sunshine Vicram series. It’s a delightful mystery/thriller series that somehow maintains a sense of humor and confidence despite all of the horrors that go on. I love it. Continue reading

Review: A Bad Day for Sunshine by Darynda Jones
A Bad Day for Sunshine is the start of new beginnings, being the first in Darynda Jones’ Sunshine Vicram series. Personally, I’m hoping this series goes on for quite some time. This is a series that merges the vibes of a cozy mystery with the darker tones of a thriller, with delightful results. Continue reading

Review: The Maid by Nita Prose
There are certain thrillers that people seem to be on the edge of their seats waiting for every year. The Maid, written by Nita Prose, seems to be the latest novel of that caliber. This thriller novel checks off suspense and cozy mystery all in one go. Continue reading

Review: Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins
Hawkins. Reckless Girls is her latest thriller, and that means I’m going to have to make some time to sit down and read this beauty. Continue reading
Review: A Thousand Steps by T. Jefferson Parker
A Thousand Steps, by T. Jefferson Parker, is one part thriller and one part coming-of-age story. Given how much I adore novels that blend genres, I knew that I had to give this one a try! Continue reading
Review: The Unheard by Nicci French
reading that title? I know I did. That, combined with that stunning cover, was more than enough reason for me to give this book a try. Continue reading
Review: Little Darlings by Melanie Golding
Melanie Golding’s debut thriller novel, Little Darlings, is one that immediately caught my attention. Thanks in part to a brilliant cover (I’m a sucker for this particular aesthetic) but also due to the description. Continue reading
Review: Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney
Rock Paper Scissors happens to be the first novel I’ve ever read by Alice Feeney (I know, I know. But I have several of her books on my TBR list). This twisting thriller is one heck of a roller coaster, though, and I would recommend it to any fans of hers – plus anybody else that is curious. Continue reading
