Persephone is the second novel in the Amazon Original series, Into Shadow. This collection has seven shorts in total, all from different authors – many of whom I adore. This one was written by Lev Grossman, who I’ve read, but I’ll admit it’s been a hot minute. Might have to fix that.

Persephone is the quiet girl who doesn’t fit in with the rest of her class. It’s kind of hard to fit in once somebody in your life goes missing. That sort of thing leaves a mark. As it turns out, that isn’t the only mark left on her.

Okay, this was a pretty interesting read, all things considered. It was a quick read and kinda had an evil-Xavier school vibe. I can see it turning into a young adult series or something along those lines. However, the characters could probably use a bit more work before that happened.
