3 kitties

The Garden is the first short story in a collection of seven, titled Into Shadow. It’s an Amazon Original, though I haven’t read that many of those (shocking, I know). Still, Into Shadow has several authors I adore, so I knew I had to check it out.

This short story follows Leina and her quest to find the garden – a potentially mythical place where her mother disappeared to. This journey forces Leina to come to terms with her past while reckoning whether curses exist.

As far as short stories go, this wasn’t my favorite. It wasn’t bad! In fact, I quite liked the poetry in it. However, it feels like it started and stopped in the middle, and I would have liked a bit more context.
