Updating Pritkin is another short story set in the Cassandra Palmer universe. And it is by far one of the funniest ones available. If you love inane humor, as well as enjoy seeing Cassie and Pritkin interact, then this is the perfect story for you.

Updating Pritkin is set after Hunt the Moon (and after House at Cobb End) but before Tempt the Stars. It might have some spoilers for Hunt the Moon, so I’d suggest reading them in that order, to play it safe.

As far as action goes, this is probably the calmest Cassie Palmer story in the entire series. Though there is still a whole lot of entertainment value to be found – trust me on that. The whole premise of the plot is Cassie trying desperately to convince Augustine to make her a very special dress (one that will become what is needed depending on the time period and location she had shifted to). But of course, this is Augustine we’re talking about. And that means the task is less than easy…

There are so many burst out laughing moments in this short story. I don’t know where to begin, nor do I want to list them all. They’re funnier if you read them as they are, I promise. And honestly, it was nice seeing Pritkin and Cassie have an almost normal day. You know, relatively speaking, that is.

Also, I can’t stress this enough: If you’re on Team Pritkin, or even if you’re just a Pritkin fan: read this short story. You won’t regret it!
