It’s that time again, time for another Book Tag! This month’s Book Tag is all about Bedtime, because this time of year almost certainly makes us readers sleepy. Booktuber Kellys BookSpill created the tag.
A Book That Kept You Up All Night Reading
The first one that comes to mind is every installment from the Kate Daniels series. I always finished those in one night.
There’s also the Chronicles of Elantra series. They’re brilliant, but a wee bit long, so if you wanna read them in one go, you have to get really cozy.
A Book That Made You Scared to Sleep
Ohhh. Interesting. Most recently, I’d have to say it was Cold Eternity by S.A. Barnes. While I can’t pretend that it was my favorite book by the author, there is one scene that is absolutely HAUNTING (especially if you wanna get a good night’s sleep).
A Book That Made You Go to Sleep
I feel like this question has probably started a lot of fights. I suppose one of my art history books – the dry textbooks I had to read for school.
A Book That Left You Tossing and Turning All Night in Anticipation of Its Release
Oh! So many! Basically, if it’s the next installment for a series I love, you can bet I counted down the days for its release. Most recently, the book I was most eager to get my hands on was A Drop of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett.
A Book That Would Be Your Worst Nightmare to Live In
Any of the dystopian books? Wool comes to mind, but Hunger Games, Divergent, etc. Also, Dungeon Crawler Carl’s world would not be fun. Any book where unnamed characters are doomed is a no-go.
A Book Cover That Reminds You of Night Time
Piransi. This book has such a lovely dreamlike quality to it; I’m not sure I could think of a better book that fits this prompt (for me).
A Book That Has a Nightmarish Cliffhanger
Hollow City by Ransom Riggs. That cliffhanger was brutal! But I’m sure hundreds of others also fit the bill.
A Book That You Actually Dreamed About
The Hobbit! When I was little, I used to have vividly detailed dreams about The Hobbit (don’t judge me). Still do, sometimes. Usually just little adventures through that world, and not the scarier parts, thankfully.
A Book Monster That You Would Not Want to Find Under Your Bed
Any of them? Pennywise is an obvious answer, Slewfoot is another.
