Ow. My heart. I love how Seanan McGuire plays with lore and storytelling in her Ghost Roads series. Even her short stories, such as Good Girls Go to Heaven, find a way to hit you hard. This particular story takes place before the first novel, and it is a solid reminder of what Rose does for truck drivers.

This is one of those stories that comes to life (er, un-life?) springing from the pages. At least, it does for me. So, I will gobble up any content I can get from this universe. This one is admittedly a bit somber but also endearing and, in its own way, hopeful? Worth the read.
