Yes! More Tybalt. I sincerely don’t think I will ever tired of Tybalt’s content. If you have no idea what (or who) I’m talking about, check out the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire. This is a short story set in that universe (though technically, this one occurred long before Toby came to be).

Stage of Fools is set after the events of Forbid the Sea, so Tybalt is still getting his footing, in a sense. Yet it’s also one of the happier past stories we’ve seen of Tybalt (take a grain of salt there), as his sister is back.

I loved this short. Not only did it continue to flesh out Tybalt’s past, but it helped connect a few pieces for it. It also clarified the court of cats and how other lords and ladies view them.
