Most InCryptid fans are well aware of Alice Healy-Price’s quest to track down her missing husband. But they’re probably less aware of their adventures before this point. School Belles is set before the Crossroads took Thomas. It’s even set before the time when the two were married.

School Belles is an interesting story that shows Alice’s life while she’s out and about. Here she’s been sent off to school. She’s lonely and homesick – and still unaware of the price Thomas is paying for her.

While I have enjoyed (but not loved) Alice’s backstory, I found this one to be my favorite. It fleshed out more of her teenage life, helped us see what Thomas went through, and even gave context for how hard Mary had to work (being stuck in the middle). It’s perfect.
