Stories like this (The Ghosts of Bourbon Street) remind me that Ghost Roads and InCryptid are in the same universe (I know, the constant crossovers also serve as a reminder, but this feels different). For those wondering – hold off on reading The Ghosts of Bourbon Street until you’ve gotten through Half-Off Ragnarok.
During Half-Off Ragnarok, there’s a scene where Alex calls home and catches Verity. This story tells us what she (and Dominic) were up to during this time. Though I think we could have all assumed the basics: chaos.
To be fair, my original assumption wasn’t far off. Verity has a way of pushing boundaries and throwing herself into trouble. It’s almost like it’s a family trait (please note my teasing sarcasm here). It made for a fun story, especially as seeing Verity and Dominic together more was nice.
