4 kitties

The Jailbird’s Jackpot is the fourth novel in P.J. Colando’s Faith, Family, Frenzy! series and it was such a blast to read! I should mention that I had not read the first three when I picked up this read, yet I had no trouble following along.

Amy Breeden has spent the last 2,000 days thinking about getting her revenge. Why? Because she spent them in a Michigan Penitentiary, and there wasn’t much to do besides brood and plan. Now she’s free, and it’s finally time to bring those plans to life.

The Jailbird’s Jackpot was a quick and amazingly witty read if you ask me. Amy’s character had a lot of surprises, not to mention a lot of depth. Her story is the sort that pulls readers along for quite a wild (and entertaining) ride.

I think what I liked the most about Amy is her determination. She kept coming up with all of these chaotic schemes, and more importantly: finding reasons to justify her plans and actions. It made her character feel real while also showcasing how consuming revenge can become.

Everything from the sense of humor to the setting made this a fun read in my book (pun confidently intended), and I really enjoyed it. I’m going to have to try and set some time in my busy reading schedule to go back and read the rest of Faith, Family, Frenzy!

Thanks to The Review Crew for making this book available for review. All opinions expressed are my own.
