Book Summary:
Sedona Bruno just had her world rocked. She came home from work one day to find her husband cheating on her – with her cousin. So now Sedona is looking for a more positive change in life.
Naturally, this means Sedona is going to pack up her RV, complete with her two dogs and donkey. Traveling in an RV with a donkey is pretty unusual, but so is encountering UFOs. Yet that is the adventure Sedona has, unwillingly, embarked upon.
My Review:
If you’re looking for a book combining self-discovery and aliens, consider checking out Aliens, Campers, and Coffee. As an added bonus, there are cute animals! Two dogs and a donkey, of all things, to be exact.
Here’s what I loved about Aliens, Campers, and Coffee: I enjoyed Sedona’s adventure once it started. Obviously, the UFO bits held my attention the most, but there’s nothing new about that! I also loved that the author included so many pets; there aren’t enough books including animals in the world (and there never will be enough, as far as I’m concerned).
The intro is a bit rocky, and that’s intentional. Sedona needs a reason to leave her life behind, and she certainly got a good one. The reactions felt slightly off here, and I can’t quite pinpoint the reason. Overlooking that, it made for a great lead-in for the UFO chaos.
I want to note that Aliens, Campers, and Coffee is more religious than the description lets on. I’m not stating this as a dealbreaker, but I know that readers generally like to better understand what they’re in for. I might have skipped this book if I had realized that the self-realization journey would be more than half a religious experience. But that’s my personal taste.
Highlights:
- Extraterrestrials
- UFO/UAP Encounters
- Personal Journey
- Cute Animals
Trigger Warnings:
- Adultery
- Toxic Workplace
- Abductions
