Epic fantasies can get your heart racing and your mind dreaming. They’re the perfect escape, no matter what your reality is. Thankfully, thousands of epic fantasy novels are out there – though that can sometimes make choosing your next read a bit challenging.

In truth, I’ve been meaning to read more epic fantasy novels lately. So that’s the inspiration for this list – epic fantasy novels that all genre lovers should check out! Please join me on my reading journey.

Gateway Epic Fantasy

• Song of the Lioness Series: This series follows the journey of Alanna of Trebond, a determined young girl who disguises herself as a boy to train as a knight in a medieval fantasy world, overcoming societal constraints.
• Dragonlance Chronicles – The Dragonlance Chronicles follows a group of heroes battling evil forces in the war-torn world of Krynn, facing dragons, dark magic, and ancient prophecies.
