Over the years I’ve seen a game bouncing back and forth between book bloggers and vloggers called On My Shelf. The core concept is pretty simple: number each book on your shelf, and then have fellow readers pick a number at random. You are then to write about that correlating book – you can write about anything related to this book – the story behind it, why you bought it, what you loved about it, etc.

All credit to Iain Broome, whom I’m fairly certain is the original creator of this super fun game. Or at least the first one I saw doing this. However, I’m going to modify is slightly in my case. I’m going to use a random number generator as a way of choosing which book to write about.

Batman Beyond Vol. 2: Rise of the Demon

Ohhh man! I loved (and I do mean loved) this run of Batman Beyond! It mostly helped satiate the cravings I’ve had ever since the animated series ended. Mostly. I know it wasn’t perfect, but for a time, it felt like I’d accept just about anything, as long as Terry’s story would continue.

I remember enjoying this volume in particular because it forced Max and Bruce Wayne to try and work together (for Terry’s sake, obviously). It was something I’d always wanted to see during the show.

This pull made me realize how much I miss the series as a whole. Maybe I should go back and rewatch the entire series again. Well, mostly. I always skip the Ace episode; it makes me cry. Does anybody else here love this series?
