Over the years I’ve seen a game bouncing back and forth between book bloggers and vloggers called On My Shelf. The core concept is pretty simple: number each book on your shelf, and then have fellow readers pick a number at random. You are then to write about that correlating book – you can write about anything related to this book – the story behind it, why you bought it, what you loved about it, etc.

All credit to Iain Broome, whom I’m fairly certain is the original creator of this super fun game. Or at least the first one I saw doing this. However, I’m going to modify is slightly in my case. I’m going to use a random number generator as a way of choosing which book to write about.

Bookcase Number: 5 | Shelf Number: 9 | Book Number: 13

Stargate Atlantis Volume 1

You’ll have to forgive the appearance of this shelf a little bit. You’ll notice some graphic novels sticking out a bit further than the rest. I need to read/reread all the ones sticking out (Except Broodhollow – those are just wide books). I recently realized that my TBR shelf didn’t have all the comics/graphic novels, so I had to do a quick system change.

Anyway, of course, it’s my luck that this month, the generator grabbed a book I’ve been meaning to read. I’ve had Stargate Atlantis Volume 1 on my shelf for who knows how long…I probably should use this as motivation to just read it, huh?

I love Stargate Atlantis. It’s my favorite of the Stargate series (no offense to people who love different ones! We all have favorites, right?). I recently (ish) rewatched the series again and even started reading through the books (which feel exactly like a new episode, so I’m loving that). Here’s hoping the graphic novels hold up!
