Review: Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Silvia Moreno-Garcia is back with another enchanting and horrifying tale. One that quite literally blends fantastical elements with horror as well as a few Gothic elements. It makes for a chilling read. Continue reading

Are you looking for a dark retelling of Sleeping Beauty? (Well, the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty, that is. The original is pretty dark on its own). If so, then look no further! Malice, written by Heather Walter, is the book for you. Continue reading
Review: Thrawn: Alliances by Timothy Zahn
Thrawn: Alliances is the second novel in a trilogy focus on the one and only Commander Mitth’raw’nuruodo. I almost said it’s his most recent series, but that is no longer true (the first book in a new trilogy dropped this season). Continue reading

Review: Steel Crow Saga by Paul Krueger
Steel Crow Saga is the first novel in a series of the same name by Paul Krueger, and it’s as intense as it is brilliant. If you’re looking for a new fantasy series to get into, consider giving this one a try. It’s full of character driven plots, a magical world, and so much more. Continue reading

The Princess Beard is the third novel in the Tales of Pell series, which is a joint project by Delilah S. Dawson and Kevin Hearne. Together these two authors have created a truly inane and amazing world. Continue reading

Review: Wanderers by Chuck Wendig
Wanderers is the latest novel by Chuck Wendig, and it’s been getting a lot of attention. Before the novel was even out people were fighting over the rights to adapt the novel into a series. Which is pretty huge (QC Entertainment won the rights, for those that are curious). And honestly, this novel will adapt well to a series, so I’m looking forward to seeing it. Continue reading

Review: Stranger Things: Darkness on the Edge of Town by Adam Christopher
Stranger Things: Darkness on the Edge of Town is the second novel written as a tie in to the Stranger Things Netflix series. Like the first novel (Suspicious Minds) Darkness on the Edge of Town is a prequel. Unlike the first novel, it doesn’t occur in Hawkins. Well, most of it doesn’t at least. Continue reading
Review: No Country for Old Gnomes (The Tales of Pell #2) by Delilah S. Dawson and Kevin Hearne
No Country for Old Gnomes is the second novel in the Tales of Pell series. It’s a series born from joint effort, being written and developed by both Delilah S. Dawson and Kevin Hearne. If you’ve read the first novel, Kill the Farm Boy, then you already have a strong idea of what sort of inane humor you’re going to find within this one. Continue reading
