I'll admit that I don't subscribe to as many book boxes as I would like. However, the two that I am subscribed to (OwlCrate and BOTM) have always treated me well. And that's enough for me.I've never seen a silicone popcorn holder before this month! It's cute, though I'm not sure I'm going to end up using it for popcorn. Instead, it'll probably be relegated towards holding bookish odds and ends in my library.I may have a slight hoard of wax seals - and I really need some good excuses to use them. However, I'm never going to complain when a new seal is added to my collection! Hence why I was so excited to find this cutie in April's OwlCrate box.Over the years I've worked hard to create a comfortable desk with a style I can enjoy. Bookish mousepads are already a nice addition!I am SO glad that I waited for OwlCrate's copy of Hotel Magnifique! This book has gotten so many amazing covers, but I legit think this one is my favorite. Plus, the hardcover glows in the dark! That's a first (for me).Look at all the lovely items that came with April's OwlCrate box. I have always been a sucker for bookish household items, and this box had not one but TWO items. Plus some coffee and other cute items. I'm thrilled!Goodreads

Review: A Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham
A Flicker in the Dark is Stacy Willingham’s debut novel, and let me tell you: this one book is enough to get Stacy Willingham on my ‘auto-buy’ list. I can already see her writing potential and cannot wait to see what she comes up with next. Continue reading
Review: The Other Side of the Door by Nicci French
Nicci French’s latest novel merges thriller, mystery, and suspense into one. The Other Side of the Door is set in Franch, and it isn’t afraid to take some risks. Continue reading
Review: Thief of Souls by Brian Klingborg
Thief of Souls is the start of a new mystery series (Inspector Lu Fei Mysteries #1), written by Brian Klingborg. It’s the first time (I think) that I’ve read a murder/mystery series based in China, so I was really excited to dive into this novel. Continue reading

Review: The Lost Village by Camilla Sten
The Lost Village is the first novel I’ve read by Camilla Sten – but after this beauty, you better believe I’ll be keeping an eye on everything else that she writes! I was tempted into reading this book right off the bat, thanks to a description that promised it to be a cross between The Blair Witch Project and Midsommar. Enough said, right? Continue reading
Review: The Long Call by Ann Cleeves
The Long Call is the first novel in a new series by Ann Cleeves, called Two Rivers. It’s not connected with any of her other novels or series. Which means it’s a great starting point for new fans! (Such as myself). Continue reading
