Review: Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young
Pretty sure that, at this point, I’ll read anything written by Adrienne Young! Spells for Forgetting is no exception to that rule. Any book that promises ancestral magic, isolated towns, and a magical thriller will get my attention. Continue reading
Review: Be the Serpent by Seanan McGuire
I can’t believe it – we’re already at the sixteenth (sixteenth!) novel in the October Daye series. Be the Serpent is the latest installment of this series, and it promises to be yet another groundbreaking novel. As with the last several installments of October Daye, Be the Serpent comes with a new novella – Such Dangerous Seas. Continue reading

It’s incredible how quickly one can get taken up in a story. I’ve been reading the Mercy Thompson series for years, yet it doesn’t feel that way. Soul Taken is the thirteenth installment in the series, and part of me hopes it’ll be far from the last. Continue reading

Review: These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling
These Witches Don’t Burn is both the debut novel for Isabel Sterling and the first novel in a new series (of the same name). So it had a lot riding on it. But based on the sales and how enjoyable this read was, I’m not worried about the future for this author or series. Continue reading
