Review: Firefly: The Unification War Vol. 1

Firefly: The Unification War Vol. 1 is the first in the latest graphic novel series for a beloved series. Though there’s plenty of backlog out there to read as well, mind you. While the original series was created by Joss Whedon, this graphic novel series is written by Greg Pak, and illustrated by Dan McDaid. Continue reading

Review: The Red Mother Vol. 1

The Red Mother is a new horror graphic novel series, and guys – this series has me hooked. I’ve been reading it in single issue format, and holy cow. It’s haunting and disturbing, and totally not afraid to show the gruesome side of horror. Continue reading

Review: Lumberjanes: True Colors

Lumberjanes: True Colors is the third in the Lumberjanes Original Graphic novel series. Delightfully, you don’t need to be up to date in the main series to enjoy this one (but I would still strongly recommend following that series, mainly because of how amazing it is). Continue reading

Review: Sparrowhawk

Sparrowhawk is a miniseries and the first time that Delilah S. Dawson has written a graphic novel (to my knowledge). As a huge fan of hers, I just knew that I had to read it. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed! Set in Victorian England, this series combines the magic of fairy with elegant storytelling and compelling character arcs. Continue reading

Review: The Thrilling Adventure Hour: Residence Evil

The Thrilling Adventure Hour: Residence Evil is based off a Hollywood Stage Show and podcast. That being said, I don’t think you need to be immersed in that story in order to follow the tale told in this graphic novel. I know I didn’t have any trouble. Continue reading
