Look at all the lovely items that came with April's OwlCrate box. I have always been a sucker for bookish household items, and this box had not one but TWO items. Plus some coffee and other cute items. I'm thrilled!Happy book birthday Brindi Quinn! Come True is officially available to all readers today, and I am so proud! If you love charming fantasy romance novels, please please please pick up Come True: A Bomb-Ass Genie Romance!Come True: A Bomb-Ass Genie RomanceMy name is Cat, and I have a problem. I hoard booksleeves, even though I have more than enough. I certainly don't travel enough to warrant the number I have...and yet I can't pass them up!For a while now I've been hoarding my bookish stickers with no real idea what I wanted to do with them. My laptop and kindle are covered, so that idea wasn't going to work. So last week I went and collected all my stickers, got some magnetic tape, and turned them into magnets! I'm pretty happy with the results, if I may say so.I won't tell you how many bookish prints I have (I don't want to know the total count), but I will say that this print album is a lifesaver. Bonus points: it's the perfect size for the monthly spoiler card and pamphlet I get with my OC box. So now it is all stored in one neat place.Goodreads

The Howling Twenties is the follow-up novel to Late Night Partners by Fennel Steuert. So if you read that novel and enjoyed it, I strongly encourage you to continue the series. Both novels are perfect for fans of vampire lore looking for a Continue reading

Review: Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures
Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures is the fourth and final ebook in a series that Pottermore has released this summer. Like the first three, this novella focuses on real-life and historical elements behind the world of Harry Potter. Continue reading

Review: The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young
The Girl the Sea Gave Back is the sequel to the massively popular Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young. That being said, so far either novel could be read as a standalone. So if you haven’t read Sky in the Deep, but want to jump right into The Girl the Sea Gave Back, you can do so with little issue. You’ll just miss out on some of the world-building and character references. Continue reading
Review: Silverlegs 1: Seed of Rage by Camilla Monk
Silverlegs is the first novel in the Seed of Rage series by Camilla Monk. The series is mostly fantasy, but with some darker elements woven into the mix. In short, it’s a grimdark tale. It’s perfect for fans looking for something that’ll give them chills and strong emotions. Continue reading
Review: Crown of Coral and Pearl by Mara Rutherford
Crown of Coral and Pearl is the debut novel by Mara Rutherford, and it’s been getting a lot of hype and attention lately. Having read it, I can certainly see why. It’s the first novel in a series of the same name, and looks like it’s going to be an epic journey to the end. Continue reading
Review: The Girl on the Porch by Richard Chizmar
The Girl on the Porch is the latest novella from Richard Chizmar. The cover is what caught my attention, and it was Stephen King’s praise that sold me on this one. It’s described as being a dark and twisted thriller that’ll leave you afraid and distrusting of your neighbors. Continue reading
Review: Sea Witch Rising by Sarah Henning
Sea Witch Rising is the dramatic conclusion to the Sea Witch plot by Sarah Henning. In this novel, we see the tale of the Little Mermaid retold in a truly unique fashion. To say that the focus was entirely on the Sea Witch wouldn’t be entirely accurate; the little mermaids in this tale did get to tell their tale as well. Continue reading
Review: The Thrilling Adventure Hour: Residence Evil
The Thrilling Adventure Hour: Residence Evil is based off a Hollywood Stage Show and podcast. That being said, I don’t think you need to be immersed in that story in order to follow the tale told in this graphic novel. I know I didn’t have any trouble. Continue reading

Review: The Dirty Dozen (Tennison #5) by Lynda La Plante
The Dirty Dozen is the latest adventure about our lovely Jane Tennison. It’s the fifth novel in a series written by Lynda La Plante, however, like other novels in the series, you can really pick up at any point and follow along as you please. Continue reading
Review: The Blacksmith Queen by G.A. Aiken
The Blacksmith Queen is the first novel in a new series by G.A. Aiken, the Scarred Earth Saga. This is admittedly a very evocative name. Between that and the cover, I just knew I had to give this series a try. Continue reading
