Today I want to take a minute to appreciate my reading buddy. She may not read books, but she sure keeps my feet warm when I tuck in with a good book ❤Today I'm finally going to sit down and read Lore! What books has everyone been meaning to read, but haven't gotten around to?Some of my favorite Marvel characters! Sadly (or not, depending on how you look at it!), this is far from being my whole collection. How have I not read this series before now? InCryptid combines all of my favorite things: lore, creatures from mythology, and Seanan McGuire's writing. Seriously, what more could I have asked for?Book mail time! My copy of Curse of the Divine arrived! I legit can't wait to sit down and start reading!I recently backed two bookish kickstarters, and I was lucky enough to have both arrive at the same time! I absolutely adore both sets of pins, plus that print! ❤❤❤ (before you ask, I ordered toe four Gideon pins I'm missing from this set - they'll be gleefully added to the collection when they arrive!)Goodreads

Review: Creation Machine by Andrew Bannister
Creation Machine is a fast-paced and chaotic space opera of epic proportions. It’s quirky and full of personality, and was pretty much everything I had hoped it would be. It’s the first novel in a new series called The Spin Trilogy, which is an appropriate title when you think about it. Continue reading
Review: Find Me Falling by Fiona Vigo Marshall
I strongly believe that people are either going to love or hate Find Me Falling. I don’t think there will be much middle ground here (I know it’s ironic that I’m saying it, given the rating I chose, but I will explain my reasons). Continue reading
Review: Permafrost by Alastair Reynolds
Permafrost is the latest novella from the mind of Alastair Reynolds. It’s described as being a time-traveling climate science fiction adventure, and honestly, I can’t think of a better way to phrase it than that. Continue reading
Review: Wild Country by Anne Bishop
Wild Country is the latest novel by Anne Bishop. It’s also the latest in her Others series, though the numbering may be confusing. Its #7 in the Others series, and #2 in the World of the Others series. Two books ago, Anne Bishop finished the main plot for the Others, and thus the last two books have been focused on others stories within the same world. That’s the reason for the odd numbering system here. Continue reading

Review: The Perfect Assassin (The Chronicles of Ghadid #1) by K.A. Doore
The Perfect Assassin is the first book I’ve read by K.A. Doore, and I’m absolutely blown away. While the bright color caught my attention when browsing, it was the description and publisher (gotta love Tor) that really sold me here. And I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. If you’re looking for a new fantasy author to follow from the start, then you should look into this novel. Continue reading
