Believe it or not, this is not part of the gift set I’ve been making for my Gryffindor friends that are expecting. Apparently I know a lot of Gryffindors, because this set was a Christmas gift for a completely different friend. This friend of my tends to get very cold hands, and thus has a nice collection of arm warmers and fingerless gloves…so naturally I had to supply her a pair of Gryffindor ones!
The pattern is pretty simple on the whole, the first and last two rows are knit 1, pearl 1, while all the other rows alternate between a full knit or pearled row. I switched colors every four rows. As for the form itself, I literally just knitted it in a rectangle (the measurements I knew I’d need, in this case) and then stitched two of the sides together, leaving a gap for the thumb to go through.
